Hi all.

So, I've previously had a gtx 660ti, but have sold it. I've got my eye on a GTX 570 2.5gb (they are hard to come by but are the best bang for the buck in terms of Davinci Resolve and other GPU/CUDA intensive post-production work.)

Before I take the plunge however, I'm wondering if any wise soul can counsel me on whether there are any issues with (1) installing such a card and (2) its usage (for example, will it always be on full throtle?). Do I need to use an older version of multibeast to install the appropriate kext?

Thanks!!!

My 1.2 GB works out of the box but I select the OPENCL patch anyway in multibeast 5.21.

I have an issue with it though because it runs at full clocks at all times.

The power management isn't working :(

But on a bright side the OS is extremely smooth because of that, the animations fast and fluid no lag!!

So I haven't been in a rush to fix it bcoz I don't want that smoothness to go away :( lol

Thanks for the response @Andy87!

Any other video card experts out there care to chip in? It'll be helpful as I'm about to pull the trigger!
