Hey guys I am REALLY sorry to make a new topic and bump my other topic so much.

I could really use some help here. I am a real noob in Hackintoshes and I just need to get this working. You guys really will make my day if you help me out here.

So I had a big problem with my R9 270, got some System Halt error. I decided to fully re-install using my Unibeast / MultiBeast. It went fine, had to use couple of bootloaders to get the installer and now I can boot without any manual boot flags.

Only problem in Display options it doesn't recognize my R9 270 (non-X version).

It only shows Graphics: Display 7 MB. I keep getting huge choppy lag when moving my cursor around.
Also when the log screen come it chops and wipes the graphics to my screen. Looks weird.

Please help! Do I need to change some settings, download drivers? :beachball:

What boot flags do you have on your system ?

Look in org.chameleon.boot.plist which is in your /Extra folder assuming you are using Chimera.
We were all noobs once.

The file WonkeyDonkey is referring to is on your Mac OS X hard drive. Double click on your OS X installed hard drive and you should see:
Applications
Extra
Library
System
Users
In the Extra folder (directory) is the org.chameleon.boot.plist file which has the "boot flags." Open the file in TextEdit and copy/paste it into your responding post so we can see if you are using the default parameters or...?

Update: I read your other post. The fact that you got so-called drivers from "another site" is part of your problem. The R9 270 is a rebranded 7870 which Apple never marketed and, therefore, doesn't support natively. While supported a lot of graphics cards that it never offered as a Mac Pro upgrade option, Apple removed support for some of it's "non offered cards" in Yosemite 10.10.3; your 270/7870 card is probably one of them. I recommend you do a "fresh" (new) installation of Yosemite because trying to remove/replace those drivers will give you nothing but pain.

I hate to be the barer of bad news, but the tonymacx86 Buyer's Guide has never recommended the R9 200 series of graphics cards because of the OS X compatibility problem. For noobs, it's better to stick with the tonymacx86 recommended components to achieve a successful installation of OS X. If you can, sell/return your R9 270 and pick up an equivalent nVidia GTX 760 on eBay (which I recently did for $125!). The GTX 760 is supported out of the box by Apple since Mountain Lion 10.8.5.

Speaking of which (10.8.5), Apple has not added any new graphics card drivers to OS X since 10.8.5. So, the older 650, 650 Ti, 670, 680, 730, 740, 760, and 770 nVidia graphics cards are supported. However, the newer nVidia "Maxwell" chipset graphics cards (750, 750 Ti, 960, 970, 980 and Titans) are only supported in Yosemite with nVidia's web drivers. There are several threads in this Graphics forum section that are dedicated to nVidia Web drivers. Unfortunately, when Apple updates Yosemite, you have to wait for nVidia to release an updated driver before updating Yosemite. It's a minor inconvenience as nVidia releases a new driver within a couple of days, and, then, it's kinda a pain to go through the updating procedure. But...Hey! That's what being an Early Adopter is all about!

Yes that was the site I downloaded the drivers from. Then my system got messed up. I am now doing a fresh re-install but I can't seem to get the installer to work. I got to the install process with GraphicsEnabler=Yes but then it stuck on 11 minutes. Now I'm trying the same flag again and it gives me a kernel panic.

Hey,

Fresh install done. I got into desktop but my MultiBeast was lagging so bad that it didn't click any settings.

I restarted and thought about trying to set my Initial Display to IGFX to make sure I can boot safely.

I now installed MultiBeast without Chimera, although it didn't let me install the Realtek Audio Drivers? Any solution to this?

I am now proceeding to follow this thread to set up EFI bootloader.

ADD: Installed those settings over MultiBeast except Chimera. After restarting I am getting a kernel panic with boot args: kext-dev-mode=1 GraphicsEnabler=Yes

I have never added kext-dev-mode=1 anywhere, why is it using that boot arg?

I am now going to try other boot flags added to that to get into OSX.
Hopefully you guys can keep up with me. I am really desperate on this.

You need Chimera unless you're booting with Clover. Why did you uncheck Chimera? You need a bootloader.

These are in the boot loader thing.
I unchecked Chimera because I saw a post saying install fresh install, install multicast settings, disable chimera and then follow a thread to install boot loader and extra to efi partition.
