[RESOLVED] Radeon HD 7750 XFX glitchy after 10.10.3 Update

I did the Yosemite 10.10.3 combo update and tried to boot, got this
IMG_20150410_083810.jpg
Tried switching back to the old AMDRadeonX4000.kext, was able to boot but without acceleration. Tried others framebuffers with ATI injector (i am using clover by the way) but no luck. With -x flag it boots too since it doesn't allow the x4000 kext to load. Anybody with a AMD GPU running ok with the new drivers?

update: Reinstalled the update combo. Booted with -x -f -v. Changed the values in AMDRadeonX4000.kext on the key AMDVerdeGraphicsAccelerator on the call_properties section to:
Code:
<key>cail_properties</key>
             <dict>
                <key>CAIL_DisableDrmdmaPowerGating</key>
                <integer>1</integer>
                <key>CAIL_DisableDynamicGfxMGPowerGating</key>
                <integer>1</integer>
                <key>CAIL_DisableGfxCGPowerGating</key>
                <integer>1</integer>
                <key>CAIL_DisableGmcPowerGating</key>
                <integer>1</integer>
                <key>CAIL_DisableStaticGfxMGPowerGating</key>
                <integer>1</integer>
                <key>CAIL_DisableUVDPowerGating</key>
                <integer>0</integer>
                <key>CAIL_DisableVCEPowerGating</key>
                <integer>1</integer>
            </dict>

Reinstalled the kext with Kext Utility. Rebooted.

Now it's working like a charm ! :D

Hey, I dont know you, but you save my machine, thank you so much :clap:

I have a HD 7770 with the same issue - although my box is a Mac Pro 1,1 with a hacked boot.efi - I appreciate this is a hackintosh forum, but I was hoping that somebody might be able to offer some advice. I am not even able to start in safe boot - just restarts. Logmein session has same corrupted glitches. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks so much for the update on this, I did exactly as described and now have a fully working XFX 7750 with 10.10.3! The only annoying for me is the 'tearing' effect when moving windows around the desktop. Didnt happen before in 10.10.2. Any ideas?

Same thing with SAPPHIRE HD 7770 GHz Edition after 10.10.3 and your solution works for me!
Thank you so much! You rocks! :)

May I ask how you came up with the solution. This is a very helpful tip.
Thank you very much. I was hitting my head against the wall trying to fix this.

Thank you very much. I was hitting my head against the wall trying to fix this.

I have an another build with a R9 270x that had an issue in the 10.10.2 update with the frame buffer. Tried some methods to fix it then i found out that the video card wasn't listed in the Info.plist of the AMDRadeonX4000 kext, so i thought that i had the same issue with the HD 7750 after the update (since it changed the drivers). Went to check the file, the card (0x683F1002) was listed there in the IOPCIMatch key. Just out of curiosity i checked if the two files where the same (the old kext a the new) and found this changes.

Update - managed to boot the drive and followed this guide and it worked a treat. Thanks.

Well, it seems my radeon is not behaving the same way it was with 10.10.2. Despite installing the old 4000 kext in 10.10.3, 2d performance is poor and 3d games are very slow. Not sure what Apple have changed but it seems to break 7750 completely.

Using the old kext doesn't work. Did you try reinstalling the update and then doing the changes os the Info.plist file inside the new kext?
