GTX 660 bad performance on Mavericks

Hi Guys,

I have that problem. I installed Mavericks on my hackintosh (description below) with my Gigabyte GTX 660 OC 2GB card. GE=No and all works fine (also CUDA works well with the latest driver) but I noticed that my video card doesn't work at full power. I takes 450 points in LuxRender while in windows 8.1 I reach 900 points! Games go not bad in osx but I think that the card could go much better. It's very strange that in windows it goes with double performance. What I have to do? I searched online but I didn't find anything about that. Maybe I have to patch some kexts?
If I use NVIDIA driver 331.01.01f02 and I switch between OSX driver and NVIDIA driver it seems that performance doesn't change. A strange behavior I noticed, sometimes playing COD 4 I see artifacts on particles (in details I see the domain of particles).
I read on the forum that performance of those family of cards went bad since native driver support (ML 10.8.3 i think). I didn't try with previous version of osx but I tried with 10.8.5 and LuxRender takes 550 points, better than mavericks ....

I think you might be confusing with the non 2.0 luxmark? That score is normal for 660

Yes, sorry, luxmark v2.1. Interesting but in windows I reach 900 points, so It's strange in any case, maybe who post his result on the site has the same problem.

Now my system definition is a Macpro5,1 .. I tried also 6,1 and MacBook Pro8.3 but the same. I edited the AGPM info.plist manually and the states seems work correctly, in fact my frequency are ok but in any case bad performance, I must use windows to play. It seems that the card goes at half performance related to windows. Very strage. I also notice that nvidia web driver are certificated only for the gtx 680 mac edition so I don't know how apple manages other nvidia card. I'm very curious to know how much points take gtx 680 mac edition at this point!

In any case I often see artifacts when I play COD4 so there is something which goes wrong

try an earlier system definition like Mac Pro 3,1

ok, I'll try. It seems that several people (no, maybe ALL people with gtx cards) have the same problems. A sure solution is to came back to 10.8.2 but... ...

Is there anyone who did a definite comparison of opencl performance who has found where and if there is a perfomance break using the same version of luxmark?

I found a lot of posts with the same problem, It seems that is a problem for all the card gtx 6xx and 7xx.
I think that is better to contact directly apple, of course saying that I have a macpro

my bench scores seem to be fine with the scores i found on the internet , but my screen flashes black randomly especially when i touch the HD cable or screen.

However in windows everything is fine. With the same set up.

This is driving me crazy !!!!!
What might be the problem..?

yah it' s very boring. I haven't problem so strong but in any case performance are half of win performance
