Hi dear community. I definitely need help.
I´m on a GigaByte H87N-Wifi with a i7-4770k , which does Integrated Graphics on an Hd4600.
I took my first attempt on Tony Macs Golden Build by installing with the help of Uni-/Multibeast.
That got me into a working Hackintosh, but only with disabling onboard audio (AC892(MultibeastDriver didn´t work))and booting with "PCIRootUID=1". Otherwise no successful boot at all. Graphics in either case did not accelerate.
After trying different Kernel Flags like "GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No" "IGFXEnabler=Yes" and different IntelAzulFB numbers, I now did another try on Clover-Bootloader.
  • PRO here: No need for "PCIRootUID=1".
  • CON : 1. No audio, many audio assertions during boot, but it boots into the OS.
    2. No Graphics Acceleration
The most annoying is of course the missing GraphicsAcceleration, since I can workaround the missing audio by connecting a usb-interface for audio.
On Clover I then tried different SMBIOS, the use of FakeID (from a preconfigured HD4600 config.plist) and tried injection of properties like posted on http://giuliomac.wordpress.com/2014/03/03/how-to-enable-intel-hd4600-natively-on-your-hackintosh/

In my system properties I get following results:
System Shot.pngGraphics Shot.png

Interestingly sometimes the system recognizes HD4600, but only with 8MB VRAM (64MB Default is set in BIOS, MAX for Maximum)

Please help me along. Every suggestion is welcome!
I´m completely exhausted clicking posts with similar topics, nothing seems to fix my problem. o_O
I tried so much stuff, I cannot remember all the steps I already did.

Ok, after trying some things I´ve got a little progress: :headbang:
Using FakeID-Setting 0x0 in Clover and injecting "0x0300220D" as IGPlatformID got me Intel HD4600 in System an the set 64MB Shared Storage ... BUT NO GRAPHICS ACCELERTION AT ALL :banghead:

I have the same problem. I suspect the reason my be related to VGA port use. Are you using VGA?

Nope. Not the case. I use a digital DVI output. But thank you very much for the hint. I'm happy for every thought, that might solve the issue.

I am now re-installing mavericks... I will follow this post. Thanks! Already found a potential problem: Mac OS X cannot boot from a partition that's larger than 1 TB in size, so if you have a 2 TB hard drive, you will have to partition it.

Re-installing on a partition with 500g solved the issue, at least partially. The VRAM alocated is 64. However, the ktex didn't loaded...

Tonarm, you are using the -x bootflag?

How to Install OS X Mavericks using Clover

There seems to be a fault with Clover's default for desktop HD 4600 setups. The plist provided injects the layout-id, and does give resolution in the installer, yet 64mb of VRAM. This makes the installation go great, but no QE/CI graphics acceleration.

Basically what needs to be done, is Clover needs to inject the proper device id and layout id, as Chimera does by default. This way Haswell-based HD 4600 desktop systems will "just work".

I'll see what I can come up with- it's probably been done before, but as with all Clover things it's specialized per system.
