This is a great forum. Thanks for the help so far! I think I'm almost their.
I'm planning to install 4 HD's.. 2 ssd (240 GB), & 2 7200's (2 TB).
For the 7200's, I found these..
Seagate ST2000DM001 Barracuda 7200RPM 2 TB SATA 6 GB/s NCQ 64 MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive
Anyone no of any issues using these for a hackintosh?
I'd like to choose my OS when I boot up.
My plan is to install windows on one ssd, and mountain lion on the other ssd.
I'd use one of the 2tb hd's to store my movie files, and the ssd of the OS i'm using, as my cache/render engine for editing. The other 2tb hd would be used to back up the first one w/ my movie files.
Then I'd use an external to backup my 2 ssd's.
Just looking for confirmation or suggestions on my set up as this is my first build, and I've never attempted two OS's. I'm a current imac user and will be using the machine for video editing.
The rest of the system will include..
Intel Core i7-3770k
Gigabyte Intel Z77 Dual Thunderbolt ATX Motherboard with BT4.0/Wi-Fi (GA-Z77X-UP5-TH)
Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10)
(x2) SanDisk Extreme SSD 240 GB SATA 6.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SDSSDX-240G-G25
EVGA GeForce GTX670 2048MB GDDR5 256bit, 2x Dual-Link DVI, HDMI, DP, 4-Way SLI Ready Graphics Card (02G-P4-2670-KR)
Corsair Graphite Series Black 600T Mid-Tower Computer Case (CC600TM)
Corsair Professional Series 650-Watt 80 Plus Certified Power Supply compatible with and Platforms - CMPSU-650HX
Corsair Cooling Hydro-Series All-in-One High-Performance Liquid CPU Cooler CWCH60
TP-Link Wireless N Dual Band PCI Express Adapter with 3 x 2dBi Antenna (TL-WDN4800)
Thanks
Craig
