Hi,just built my first hackintosh using the above board, so easy and all is working. Maybe a daft question but can any one advise me if the supplied wifi.bluetooth car for this motherboard would work? Think I recall reading somewhere it will not work.
thank you in advance for the help.

The Wifi don't works. The Bluetooth works if you boot first into Windows and enable Bluetooth there.

Any update on this, I had WiFi working but had to do a software rebuild and now it doesn't work.

I also got the bluetooth part of the card to work on OSX. Remember to plug in the USB cable that came with the card into your motherboard.

Hello

I'm having (too) problems with the Bluetooth-Card coming with my ga-z77x-up5-th: I've installed the wifi/bluetooth card. But neither of the leds is illuminated nor blinking. USB-Cable is connected.

In OS X settings/properties ("Einstellungen" in german), I can see the Bluetooth icon and launching the search for bluetooth devices. But no device is found (trackpad, keyboard, iphone).

I'd be willing to buy the iogear 4.0 adapter if it's easier to make bluetooth work with it than with the bluetooth card. Unfortunately, the iogear GBU521 is not available in Switzerland. What other adapter (available in Switzerland or Europe) should work out of the box (no time lagging with trackpad is more important than wake up from sleep)?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Chris

Given that you can get that far, it sounds like the system is at least recognising the BT hardware (looking under "Bluetooth" in System Information would let you know for sure). Have you connected the antennas? The card does not have an internal antenna.

You will presumably only need to connect one (I'm guessing the bottom one, but that's just a guess) but connecting both would be a good starting point to hopefully get it working.

hi

it wasn't possible to pair keyboard or trackpad - even if in the System Information a bluetooth controller was listed.

finally, I got my iogear GBU521 and everything worked out great.

thank you anyway!

Yes, I confirm this behavior. I too run the z77x-up5 th and installed the card during the build. The system place the BT icon in the status bar at the top of the screen and showed the wifi listed in system report. However, nothing would see the bluetooth even when it was set at discoverable. Also, the wifi never showed up as a service in the network preferences. The system is otherwise stable described as a Mac Pro 5,1. I removed the card and am buying the TP link wifi and a USB bluetooth adapter.

I just completed a new build with this board but I need help with the MultiBeast 5.2.1 settings. I am getting a blank white screen on reboot after MultiBeast. Can you point me somewhere I can find some help? This is my first build as well. I have a Samsung 840 Pro SSD that I have installed ML.
