Yes i know everyone gets the white screen,
but booting in -x and changing files doesn't work for my case.

Tried booting with -x, -f, GE = No etc. And the same with unibeast drive.
All i get is the same white screen, no cursor or spinning circle.

My system is GA-X79-UD5, E5-2687W, HD 6870
Got the 10.8.2 update from mac app store in 10.8.0

If anyone know how to solve this please help. Thanks.

Boot with -v to see where it hangs and post a screen shot here.

i got the same problem, except its not where it hangs, its passes the boot stage, its where it should boot desktop that i receive the white screen

any ideas?

Here's the -v screenshot. Same as others. Not sure why -x doesnt work.

You need to delete OemSMBIOS kext. Look for it in S/L/E.

If you have installed FakeSMC, OemSMBIOS will be inside the FakeSMC package (in which case, right click on it, choose "Show Package", then you will find OemSMBIOS in the Plugins folder).

I had this problem too. I just booted from my clone of my boot drive and deleted OemSMBIOS as mentioned above, and it fixed my problem.

Also, my Hack always boots to a white screen using -x unless I physically remove my graphics card and instead use the onboard graphics.

Have the exact same problem hugo, just a blank white screen when botting with -x. Because I'm pissed off and want to get this working asap, I'm going to try it without my gfx card and see what happens. Will report back.

After updating to 10.8.2 and booting in save mode ( -x -v ) instead of loading screen i was welcomed by white screen, but i tried to enter my pass and ENTER in kinda mode, to see if desktop gona show up, but nothing, but then instead of pressing restart button i pressed power button which for me is working as SLEEP button, then when i wake it up, i got my picture up, then i replaced all kexts i needed ( well, one only ) then reinstalled my sound kext from multybeast and now all working fine x)

Ok, physically removing the gfx card worked for me, I was then able to boot into safe mode, remove the file, and the rest is history. Thanks so much for the suggestion EddyMac. Will PM OP to direct him back to the thread, that may help him..

Awesome! Glad I could help... I receive so much help and benefit from this site, it's nice to be able to return the favor once in a while.
