I just bought an Ivy Bridge CPU with an ASUS P8Z77-V Pro. I want to use my Snow Leopard DVD to make a Hackintosh with it but I do not see my motherboard listed in your drop down list of compatible motherboards. Will I be successful if I install any other DSDT for ASUS? If not, is there anyway I can make it work with this particular motherboard? Thank you so much in advance for your time and efforts!

Is there any available DSDT for ASUS P8Z77-V?

Hey I was hoping that you guys could tell me if you succeeded in installing mountain lion with this motherboard. If you did, can you just reply with the bios version number that you have.

I have made it successfully with ASUS P8Z77-V not ASUS P8Z77-V PRO, but I am sure they are exactely the same since they have the same chipset Z77 series, with my motherboard I have everything on top, sound works, lan, graphic (Intel HD 4000) work perfectly, and the system is very stable.

I used Mountain Lion copy purchased from apple store, a UniBeast 1.4 and MultiBeast 5.0.2 and a USB drive in order to be able to create your Hackintosh copy that's it :)

so my bios is the latest version, 1606 I think, yeah, that's it; I downloaded it from the official website of ASUS

I want to build a hackintosh with this mother board too, use ivy bridge and HD4000 graphics and mountain lion.

Draggard - I presume when you say you use HD4000 graphics, you don't have a separate graphics card installed, right? Which processor do you have?

What form is the mountain lion purchased from the apple store? CD? flash drive?

To put together the build, using purchased mountain lion, unibeast, multibeast, will I have to use a (friend's) working mac, or can this all be done first time mac/hackintosh?

Draggard - when you say you used a usb drive, was that a flash drive or usb mechanical drive?

thanks

gredhead, :p

If you are running OSX then login to app store and download Mountain lion. The whole OS will be downloaded into Application folder.
Fallow this link and create a bootable drive.

Z77 bords dont need a DSDT file to work but if you want HDMI A/V you need a DSDT file with correct edits.

Let me know if you need help with DSDT.

thanks miniITX for the response, but I guess I wasn't clear on my status. I don't have an apple and have never had an apple computer, nor an apple store account. I assumed I would buy the MountainLion from a physical apple store, but not sure if it is in USB or CD form. And I am worried there is not way to set up the image I need to install on my hackintosh without using an actual Apple computer to set it up, ie a friend's Mac.

I was going to use the DSDT from this link http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/60786-mountain-lion-asus-p8z77-v-pro.html but am not sure even what the DSDT actually is.

help?
