I have recently installed Mountain Lion on my Hackentosh. Everything seems to work fine I can sign into iTunes and Mac App Store but when i try to sign into iMessage it says - Could not sign into iMessage - The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later.
I know you guys are working on a fix with Chimera for iMessage and Mountain Lion. Please keep us updated if you get a patch out. If anybody has any suggestions please post. Thanks

Definitely keep us posted. This has seemed to stop working for all hackintosh users.

hi,

I have tried the Clover bootloader fix that worked for some. Doesn't work for me at all. I just get the red exclamation marks and regardless if I send from my phone number or my email address - result is the same. The Clover bootloader allows me to sign on to iMessage but it still doesn't work. :banghead:

Just run and install Chimera on OS X, no need to boot from external HDD. Remember to choose the right partition (OS X partition) while installing.

Is it possible to install this to a USB stick and boot that way? I am very SCARED to install this to my existing installation as have never had success installing a bootloader before. I currently boot using my Unibeast Install USB key.

Anyone else tried it yet?

I installed it and iMessage still complains about a server error signing in.

EDIT: Nevermind, I 'm using a Fusion Drive and I didn't notice the modules folder created in Extra, which I had to manually copy over the two boot partitions as I have to do with the bootloader. It seems to work now.

Yes, you can, but the installer only installs bootloader without theme. You can use MultiBeast to install bootloader with theme first, then use this new installer to update the bootloader.

This new version fix iMessage for me.

wlp5, I'm using a fusion drive too. To update Chimera is it as simple as installing the update twice, once on each boot partition of each drive?
