Yep, it's another one of those again...
Allright, my setup:
I have an SSD on which I have 2 partitions, 1 for yosemite (already installed using Unibeast & Multibeast) and a partition on which I want to install Ubuntu. Chimera is installed to the MBR and the yosemite partition is marked as active.
My system is a BIOS (legacy) system, not UEFI. My hard drive is configured in GPT.
During the Ubuntu install, I made sure the bootloader would be installed to the partition (not the MBR, in this case /dev/sdd4). After the Ubuntu install, the option to boot ubuntu would not show up in Chimera.
I boot back into the LiveCD and using boot-repair, I purge and then force install the grub2 bootloader onto the /dev/sdd4. But once again, Ubuntu does not show up in Chimera...
I rebooted into the liveCD again to change flags on the partitions using GParted. I tried with flags in these configurations:
- EFI part: boot, esp & Ubuntu: boot
- EFI part: boot, esp & Ubuntu: bios-grub
- EFI part: boot, esp & Ubuntu: legacy-boot
But in all these cases, Chimera does not pick up the Ubuntu install ...
Anyone encountered the same issues and tried something else besides this?
