Hi again,

Sorry to open a new thread, I fixed my other problem, so it will be more visible. (and maybe useful for others)

I got my first hackintosh, up and running since yesterday. (See my signature for config. All pretty basic, working out of the box)

All was ok after Unibeast, OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and then running MultiBeast.
Still, I encountered problem with the front USB 3 port : my USB2 flashdrive is not recognized.

I thought about Multibeast, maybe something missing. I went again onto MultiBeast, following at other config, like Moarfish or Stork, etc.
All seems ok, I still applied again.

Now, on reboot, it's stuck at the Apple logo (grey start page) and spining wheel.

I did a verbose.
It's stuck at AppleRTL8169Ethernet : phyWaitForAutoNegotiation TIMEOUT

Did I click the wrong Ethernet option in the MultiBeast? (I'm sure I selected the Gigabit Ethernet)
How can I check it, or modify it? (because now, I can't boot)
Only solution is to reinstall all? (I only have 4 software installed since yesterday.. it's the good time to try and error)

For your info, my MultiBeast config:
- UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation
- Audio/Realtek ALC8xx/Without DSDT/ALC887/88b/v100302 Current (my sound was working. No mute, which is normal)
- Disk/3rd Party SATA (I saw my internal HDD as internal. Not orange. It was ok)
- Network/Realtek Gigabit Etherent 2.0.6

Same if I'm booting from the USB flashdrive with UniBeast. I can select the SSD but it is stuck.

Additional info: I have not any ethernet cable plugged in, so far. (can't plug to my work LAN...).

I was planning to bring home my shinny new Mac Midi, for a long week end.
Seems I am stuck for now...

Thanks a lot for your help, or ideas.

Thierry.

Would there be a change if I boot with the ethernet plugged in?

I tried, anyway.
And it stopps the time out. But still hanging after the line
macx_swapon SUCCESS

I unplugged the ethernet cable, and few seconds later, I got the TIME OUT.

Thanks.

At this point, if there is no quick fix, it's faster to reinstall the OS. It will take me 20min.
I only installed 4 or 5 Apps, since yestertday. Not big deal.

But I still need to look at this alternative driver. I don't want to get the same issue after a fresh new install.
Why the drivers in MultiBeast are not good?
I thought they were tested and recommended.

Edit:
Could this all be linked to when I was trying my USB2 flash drive, on the USB3 port?
I had a hang up of the computer, and had to reboot.

Some update, if it can help someone, one day in the future...

I brought back my new "Mac Midi" to home, yesterday, but could not plug it directly. No time.

I did tonight (CET time) and I was going to reinstall OS X ML.
Before, I still wanted to try the things you showed me on the youtube video.

I knew about the flags, when booting.
I never knew that you can use the bottom arrow, for some options on the boot.

Just by luck, I tried the one for booting without loading the caches.
And it worked !!!!

I'm writing from my "Mac" right now.
So great.

Now, I can post my complete config on MultiBeast. To check if something was wrong.
(I must admit, I am a bit afraid to restart, now. :) )

Please let me know if something was wrong.

(Or maybe, it was all linked to this USB 2.0 flash drive, that I was plugging to the front USB 3.0 port.... which crashed the computer... which would not reboot correctly after that.)

I think I forgot to enable the TRIM on my Sandisk SSD....

Maybe some other things forgotten?

I'm back to the beginning...
I did a reboot and it did not went so well.
I'm stuck again, at the same Time Out, during the boot.

I tried again the Boot without Caches.
I tried the flags -v to see where it stops, and also tried -x and -f
It's not working this time.

I feel sooo bad, after being happy.

The only thing I could think of, right now: I had to unplug the computer to bring it home.
Maybe being off and unplugged for a while, was resetting something?

Now, I'm sure it can still start.
I would prefer to just get it, instead of reinstalling the system.

Also, when I booted without caches, I was plugged to my home network.
I don't know if it made a difference..

Thanks for your ideas, if you pass around.
I'm back to writing from my wife's PC....

Edit:
Oops... I won't get more help from Christ1111, he's been banned... :(

In the end, I was never able to boot after this error and this Time Out.
None of the usual flags was working for me, and I was really not going to do it manually, in command lines.
After a 15 min re-install, all was running ok.
I hope it will stay like this from now on.

Have you resolved this issue?

Edit: Just read your last post. I guess if anyone else reads this and knows the resolution, they can still post it here!

Sorry, I never directly solved this issue.
In the end, I just reinstalled all the OS from scratch, which is just 15min on a SSD.

I deleted the the network interface in System Preferences>network. Im using a TpLink compatible Pci-e card. Also deleted some Nvidia drivers. Mavericks 10.9.3. GA H87M HD3
