So I got past the Boot0 error and now I have this issue. The OSX side won't load up unless I start in safe mode. If launch without -x it gets to the Apple logo screen and then the grey bar gets about 1/2 way then slows to a crawl and eventually stops progressing at all.

I started with -v and it just hangs at the spot in the photo. Can anyone provide any suggestions?

EDIT: Here is my build

  1. GIGABYTE GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5
  2. EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
  3. Intel Core i5-4690K Processor
  4. Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 8GB Kit
  5. 2x 1TB HDD (one for OS X, one for Win 8.1)
  6. TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter
  7. Optiarc SATA DVD RW Burner Drive
  8. Cooler Master case

I can't get the signature build to display correctly.

I tried adding my build info but it;s displaying as nonsense. This is the build.

It's a dual boot machine with the OS' on separate HDD. The Windows HDD works fine. The Mac HDD will only boot in -x mode.

Thank you.

Just a bump because I haven't been able to get anywhere with my own searching.

I still can't figure out to how to get my build in my signature the way everyone else has it. Literally I make the changes in the pul ldowns and hit save and it just resets everything and posts as if I have 5 processors, chipsets, etc.... regardless, still seeking suggestions for the mac side of this hackintosh. I'm currently writing from the windows/gaming side of it.

Thanks for reading,
Lou

No I haven't figured it out. I have zero clues. :(

There are a few posts that seem like they might have helped but they are all several years old and are missing images that explain things. Even so I don't know enough to solve it...

If you have your verbose screen please post it here, too.

I have a similar problem after the upgrade, Yosemite has become very unstable, occasionally it'll work but most of the time, it stops at 50%
here's what happened after booting of -v

one time it was a little different;

Hey guys! This worked for me, everything is perfect now. In BIOS I just changed my boot option to PO instead of UEFI. Hope it works for you too! :D

How do you do that?

As your Pc starts up keep tapping the delete key. You'll get into the BIOS, then under the tab- peripherals (I think or the next tab), you'll see boot option #1 don't change the drive it's booting from, just change the type so from UEFI Samsung SSD to PO Samsung SSD, for example. Hope it helps!
