I'm reading alot of people installing mac osx on a hackintosh. But many people use different methods.
Some use multibeast and some use clover. Which one is easiest. Again i'm a first timer.
This is my soon to be build:

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB)
Storage: Seagate ST31000524NS (1TB) X2
Video Card: EVGA GeForce 760 2GB Superclocked ACX
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower
Power Supply: Corsair RM550
Wireless: TP-Link TL-WDN4800

Hi,

Some basic help:

Multibeast: a tool to help install necessary software such as bootloaders, kexts, themes, etc.

Clover: a bootloader

Chimera: the bootloader that Multibeast installs.

Somethings you might hear here on the forum:

Clover used as a method of installation: This simply means they installed OS X with a USB stick that had Clover as the bootloader

Chameleon / Chimera used interchangeably: This is because Chimera is a branch off of Chameleon.

With that being said, your real question is: Which is the easier method of installation between Unibeast and Clover? The links I provided are guides to each. Many people will tell you (and they're correct) that Unibeast is the easier method. However, currently with OSX Yosemite, iMessage and Facetime do not work with Unibeast (technically it's Chimera that's the problem, but let's assume you'll follow one of the two guides and not do a mix which is again, technically possible). There are other technical merits of Clover aside from having working iMessage which involve a more stable environment (in my experience though I haven't heard anyone else reporting that), EFI supported booting, on the fly kext patching (which means the changes we make stay with updates), and my personal favorite, automatic restart on crashes.

Please do read all the info here on the site before posting questions (there's a lot; I spent weeks reading before I posted my first post). Good luck!

Thank you so much for this very useful understanding.
