Hi, I managed to install yosemite using tony's guide ie hdd partition as guid, however i make it into 2 partition, on for yosemite and the other to install windows 8 later

Managed to get os x install and running using default chimera
But as asus h81i plus mother cannot boot i copied some files over to efi partition making it active and it boot up

Then i go to install windows 8, however i cannot install it with the message ".....selected disk is of the GPT partition style"

Managed to install it by going to the bios and boot up the usb as uefi
Now that i have both OS, the problem is by default it will boot up as windows 8.1 and give me no option to choose.

If i want to boot as osx have to use the unibeast usb to boot up then select the osx partition

Can anyone help as to how can this be solve ie have both option available
Thank you.

Hi

I am having the start problem here. i am working on finding a solution to get chimera to be set as primary since windows overrides it. Haven't found anything yet but will if I do I will post back.

I found the solution for my asus h81i-plus motherboard with gtx750 and one SSD drive to be install with mac osx and windows 8

i) Boot up unibeast usb with arg -x maxmem=8192 GraphicsEnabler=No nv_disable=1

ii) Then go to disk utility and partition it to 2 partition with one partition as mac os extended journal and the other as fat, choose guid option and not mbr

iii) Install mac osx yosemite then reboot and run multibeast and install no dsdt with necessary drivers, then install nvidia alternate web drivers

iv) Change usb drive to windows 8 installer, then under advance choose format the fat partition, it will format to ntfs and click on to complete install windows 8

v) Cannot boot up, need to boot from unibeast usb then choose windows to complete set up

vi) Now with the help of unibeast usb, one can choose which os to boot, either mac or windows
The problem is without the unibeast usb, it cannot load and will just jump back to bios screen

Tried using below method
http://www.tonymacx86.com/401-install-bootloader-extra-efi-partition.html

It works and asus motherboard now able to load and let me choose which os to load
choose mac os it load up mac os and yosemite run fine
choose windows it come out with error stating "Your PC needs to be repaired"

HELP, need final solution to complete this duo boot setup
