USB 3.0 Ports

Running Yosemite through App stores > Unibeast > Multibeast.

Everything works fine, in the past my USB 3.0 ports never workers, however they functioned as USB 2.0 ports, now all USB 3.0 ports do not work for USB 2.0 or 3.0

I tried to universal fix in multibeast but no luck.

Using a Z77X-UD5H / 3770K

Any ideas?

Do not use the Universal USB 3 Driver, that is for 4,5 and 6 chipsets.

Same problem for me. I don't know what to do. Can anyone could post mutlibeast screenshot about how to config the post-intsall process. Thanks.
Also, I don't know which configuration should I use for the quick start setting panel. Should I use Easy Beast, User DSDT or DSDT Free.
I first set up with EasyBeast and the audio work. Then I try DSDT free and that's make the audio not working. Can anyone tell me what to install.

As loadedaxe has suggested, do not use the Universal USB 3 drivers.

As for the quick start setting panel, what board are you using?

Getting audio to work is always a problem since OSX 10.5.... Always changing new boards and wasting time figuring it out. If you plan on keeping a hackintosh long term. Invest in a USB DAC. You can get one from ebay for a few bucks. I however purchased a higher end one for my headphones. Always plug and play without any drivers to worry about and if you put some money into the DAC the sounds is a world of difference better than any onboard sound

I am using the same mainboard and cpu.

After sleep / wake, my hack instantly reboots after I attach my iPhone through USB for example.

I have a Z68XP-UD4 and after installing Yosemite half of the USB 3 don't work.

If I uninstall the GenericUSBXHCI.kext non of the USB 3 work but If I reinstalled only half of them work. One in the front and one in the back.

Any Suggestions?

First post. I have a z77-ds3h and my USB 3.0 ports stopped working after a clean install of Yosemite. Everything worked fine in Mavericks. Basically I tried switching in a couple of kexts from my old install. I believe what I did to fix it was take the IOUSBFamily.kext from my Mavericks backup and use that one in place of the one Yosemite installed. Now I have GenericUSBXHCI.kext version 1.2.7, IOUSBAttachedSCSI.kext version 1.1.0, IOUSBFamily.kext version 686.4.1, and IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext version 3.6.0 in S/L/E - all USB ports are working AND I can wake my computer from sleep, which I was never able to do since day one.

Try this :

Remove GenericUSBXHCI.kext if you have one in /System/Library/Extensions

Copy Rehabman's GenericUSBXHCI.kext to your desktop. Download

If you don't have it already, download KextBeast from Here.
Run KextBeast.

Restart

OMG.....It does not work for me and it caused kernel panic.....
I use H87-D3H mobo, please let other people notice. Also after I swap the text file, it does not recognise my graphic card also....

Any other suggestions???
