Hi All

My Hack is running without any noticeably problems for a while, but somehow, some applications after they're frozen (spinning wheel of death) and i have to force quit them, and after force quit, it won't launch, it would keep bouncing, unless i restart the machine, it's kind of annoying

i.e. Logic Pro X and even Disk Utility does that too

Please Help

Thank You

Heyyoumen

You may want try with a supported video card. Did you see this note in the graphics card listing?

Alternate Graphics Cards

These solutions are supported natively, yet each has certain issues that prevent them from being fully recommended. Use at your own risk. NOTE: OpenCL is not functional using GK110B-based GTX 780, 780 Ti and GTX TITAN GPU models in 10.9. There is no ETA for a fix.

Hi Neil

so you're saying it might be he graphics card? Even thou 780 might have issues, I don't see how it would affect this particular problem thou, if mean, it just doesn't sound like they could relate? And besides, my 780 works fine so far, I don't have any graphics issues so far, ran heaven bench and it was smooth and no problem

thanks

Yes do a little research and you find that your GPU is responsible for the freeze. This makes such a system mostly unusable.

But you are entirely free to go your own way.

Not surprised it wouldn't install as you need 10.9.2

Any reason you've chosen not to update?

I coud'nt find 10.9.2

but I updated to 10.9.3 using combo update from apple

and updated to the latest Nvidia web driver

I still have this freeze bug to some applications after force quit (due to "not responding" )

is there anyway to fix this annoying bug ???

I really can't use my hackintosh normally

everything working as it should be , but this freeze bug :(

So Disk Utility continues to crash? If that's the case, boot from a Unibeast USB stick and run Disk Utility from the install screen. Then look at either repairing your permissions or do a verify disk. There's no good reason it shouldn't run unless you have either a permissions problem or there's a fundamental problem with your OSX install.
