After installing the HW Monitor on my 10.9 built I noticed that the PCH Die temperature is far to high on computer idle or load it stays at 127 Degrees Celsius. The main board is brand new....is it possible that some sort of kext miss installment leads to this temperature reading?
I have the same issue with new build on a Gigabyte GA-Z87M-D3H board. The PCH temperature is stuck on 127 while all other temps are below 30. It must be a bug, but if anyone knows how to fix it that would be great!
To see if it is a motherboard issue boot into mac and verifiy that the temperature is displayed at 127°C and then reboot into bios. Not exactly where or even wether or not there is a cpu temperature display in bios but it would be nice to know if the board reads it wrong or if there is a problem between the os and the sensor.
