Displayport cable physically won't fit with laserhive case mod

So I have finished my G5 case mod, and all is well... except for using the displayport on my 750Ti. The cable physically won't fit in the port because of the lip of the case.





Has anyone seen a DP cable that is significantly shorter, or one with a 90 degree angle that would be shorter coming out of the port? I am striking out on Amazon where I have only seen miniDP right angle cables. And when I Google it I've seen some, but they look just as long as the straight one I have now before they make their 90 deg turn.

Kind of frustrating.

I've had this problem before with an HDMI port on a standard case (not a mod). The problem ended up being easily solvable - I loosened the screw holding the card in place, was able to move the card up slightly, just enough to get the HDMI cable plugged in, and then tighten the screw again. Does that make sense? You could give it a shot.

No, it won't work due to the plastic around the plug that leads to the 90 degree part.

I, too, have experienced the same situation and solved it the same way as nobodynose described.
