Hi everyone,

My hackintosh works well except the thunderbolt.

I looked all over the forums and I can find no answer.

I plug in a digital console firewire-thunderbolt. It works with my macbookpro but not with my hackintosh.

Do you have any idea? Is it impossible?

really thank you for your help.

Hot plugging doesn't work. You have to boot with the device connected and powered on before loading OS X.

beelzebozo thank you very much for your help.
I always start my digital console before starting my computer.
no problem with the macbookpro but no association with the hackintosh.
in the system report on my hackintosh the thunderbolt is not loaded.
while on my macbookpro, it is loaded and identified.
thank you again

I hope my English is understandable :-o

Thank you very much :-D
I solved my problem. He had to install windows and drivers of the motherboard to "unlock" the thunderbolt ports :

I disconnected the osx disk and I installed windows on a disk separately. Then installed all the drivers with the cd of the motherboard.
I disconnected the windows hard disk and reconnecting osx.
And there, super magical! the thunderbolt ports work with my digital console.

A very big thank you:-D I almost drop my hackintosh ...

Hi everyone. i've got this config.: GA-Z97-UD7-TH, intel i7 4790k, Gigabit geforce GTX 760 32G ram,
480 ssd, ets...
i've installed maverick, almost everything's fine now except some "problems":
it was very slow booting, fixed by deleting AppleThunderboltNHI.kext from extensions
at first audio didn't work but it was fixed by updated multi-beast
magic mouse doesn't work with bluetooth (other mouse works fine)

and the last - it doesn't see thunderbolt.
i figure i have to install windows to "unlock" ports, so two questions:
what about this AppleThunderboltNHI.kext i deleted? is it something important for thunderbolt (as it looks by name)?
i don't need or want windows at all now, but if to think about i used parallels at my MacBook Pro before, so if i install windows via parallels, and try to install drivers with motherboard disk? will it work?
hope yes, because i'm not sure i'm ready enough to look inside my system block anytime soon to change disks and all and go to bios ever again especially... it was my first selfmade computer, i did everything only with internet instructions, not understanding what doing completely,it looks as a miracle for me as it works...

I'm using the same motherboard. I've installed the thunderbolt drivers using a separate Windows install, yet under Thunderbolt, it still reads "No Drivers Are Loaded." Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong?

Did you test it with any devices yet? Mine says the same thing, yet it works fine with the video interface I have connected to it.

Did you ever figure this out?
Have a similar problem : thunderbolt 2.0 ports to detect my 24" monitor which is daisy chained to the apollo quad is working perfectly but the UAD meter & control panel shows "no devices found".

Setup
OSX: Yosemite 10.10
Motherboard: GA-Z97X-UD7-TH
CPU: Intel 4790k
Graphics: onboard (no external graphics card)
Hard Drive: 512gb Samsung 850 Pro
Memory: 32gb Crucial Ballistix Sport

I am having the same issue. I am using Clover boot loader and Yosemite. I installed Windows along with Windows Thunderbolt drivers. I set the BIOS settings for Thunderbolt to Legacy. I have a Thunderbolt Seagate Drive and a Blackmagic Thunderbolt device. Both are detected in Windows, but not on Mac side. I have tried hot-swapping as well as trying to boot computer with the Thunderbolt devices already connected and still no luck getting the devices to work.
