Using it for CODEX based film shoot.

I would appreciate any feedback on anyone who has done something similar..

I have not personally but if it helps at all I was recently on a job where a buddy of mine ran one of the Atto cards in his magma t-bolt box for the dual drive codex reader. This was used in conjunction with the new mac pro.

the atto cards are here: http://www.attotech.com/products/category.php?id=1&catid=3

I think that it had no more than 4 ports on it so it must have been a PCIe 2.0 card according to the info on that site.

Don't know that it helps you much but maybe a little?

did you end up getting one of these card?

which did you go with and what was the install process?

I have a bunch of highpoint cards in varying builds they work great. In particular I have this 2720SGL in a Z77 GA board running 10.8.5 just fine and had a 2722 running on Z77 GA board running Mavericks on a server machine.
