Hi,
I'd like to buy a stylish monitor for my new hackintosh Haswell !
What is the best choice in you opinion ? 21,5" like imac or more ? 23" 24" ? I dont want a 27", because I think it's not compatible with my hardware (GIGABYTE H87N-WIFI + Intel Core i3-4330) and it wouldn't be fine in my opinion in 27" 192x1080 !
In my opinion, the best choice would be a semi gloss or glossy (or "light" anti glare), to have rendering close to the imac , without reflexion if possible and to have beautifull text !
I have a first hackintosh with an IPS with an anti-glare. Its picture is OK, but I'm think it's probably not the best thing for a mac os... event if old apple cinema did have anti glare too ! (but maybe better than most of anti glare )
I don't have the budget for a high-end screen but I don't want a TN. Only VA or IPS ! Stylish if possible (Logitech K750 on the desktop ! ), and with Vesa mounting to add my itx case at the back (not necessary).
A Flicker free monitor seems to be a good choice ! is it necessary ? Do I need DVI connector or HDMI ?
ideas : HP 23x or 22x (+ stylish, -anti glare -flicker) , AOC i2369vm or i269vm (+ stylish, anti glare ? flicker), BenQ GW2460HM or GW2265HM (+flicker free, +semi glossy -not stylish), dell s2440l or s2340l or s2240l (glossy, too much glare ? flicker free?) , Acer H236HLbmjd (glossy, too mcu glare ? any review at this time) or V236HLbd or V226HQLAbmd, LG IPS 24> 22 ? samsung ?
Which monitor did you choose for your hackintosh ? Would it be different if you had to choose a monitor today ? what's the best size ? the best option ?
Thank you !
