Hello,

I'm hoping someone here can help, I started my first hackintosh project about a week ago. Purchased a Lenovo D30, Got 10.8.4 installed and functional, video is perfect on a Nvidia Quadro 2000d, but I can't get the onboard ALC662 audio working. Within Multibeast, I've tried all of the realtek profiles, all of the generic profiles., the Voodoo 2.1 shows devices and controls, but I never get any audio out of it.

When using mutibeast, i'm choosing DSDTfree and trying different hardware profiles from there. I'm not altogether too savvy with coding., just wondering if there's something simple i'm missing to get the Realtek ALC662 audio functional.

Thanks!

There isn't a driver for the ALC662 available in the tools provided on this site, but (hint) if you do a Google search for "realtek alc662 driver mac os x" you'll definitely find one - about the third search result down. I won't link to it directly because apparently that is frowned upon here.

hello, I am in the process of buying a lenovo d30 as well for my 2 x e5-2690 ES.
Did you bring the audio to work? and which cpus did you use? Does it still work without a glitch otherwisely?

thanks!! any information helps a lot, since I have to decide which workstation to choose!

Did you just use unibeast for boot? Any special boot options? I have a new C30 Xeon 2609v2/Quadro K600 but it always hangs on gray screen after apple logo disappears.

I have the same issue with my S20, so frustrating! Did you ever succeed?..

I would recommend you to buy a used creative sound blaster audigy 2 (with EMU chipset) pci and there are kexts for the card. I personally use one and also the drivers works with the new creative RX pci-x. Google kxAudioDrivers-1.11bo.dmg. This solution is also " worries free" at update. There is a list online with all creative sound cards with EMU chipset that are working.

ALC662 will need a Patched AppleHDA or Injector. You will need to boot into Linux and get a dump.

For anyone interested, I actually got my S30 working as well on Sierra 12.6. Again, everything working except audio [which is of little consequence to me]. If you have any questions, hit me up!
Anyone ever get a lenovo C30 or D30 fully set up on Sierra or higher? I seem to be hitting big snags with USB which prevent me from even getting into the installer.

In brief:
Lenovo C30 - X79
Dual E5-2620v2
8GB RAM

I've been trying to install High Sierra, but might not work out and may have to go for a lower target?
