There has been some discussion here already about the power supply situation with Haswell CPUs. Check this out for more:

Anyhow, we've collected a few links that will show which PSUs are compatible and which are still in testing. Hope this helps!

Thanks for this article!

Thank god my Corsair GS800 is compatible, so I won't need a new PSU when I switch to Haswell.

I'm planning to do this next year, when I have the money, and more important, when Hasswell is compatible without hacks with OS X.

My plan is to get an i5 4670K, a GTX 770 and 16GB of 2000MHz RAM. I'll keep my SSD, hard drives abd Blu-Ray burner from my current setup.

A first gen i5 760 is already old, although it works really good with 10.8.3 with my 560Ti and a freezefix app published here.

Cheers!

I have a PicoPSU-160-XT ... wondering if it is compatible with Haswell. Not much info on the 'Net

I've got a picoPSU-150-XT to power my new GA-H87M-D3H + i7 4470S + 16GB + 128 SSD.
Although I'm patiently waiting for a new version of Uni and MultiBeast, I did boot Ubuntu and
ran stress tests all night without a problem.....

robertvanliere:

Yes, I'm sure your PicoPSU gives enough juice to run such tests.

The compatibility question is with the new sleep states of Haswell.
A PSU must be able to supply and maintain --->little enough<--- power to keep the sleep state alive but not shut down.
(I'm not an expert, but that's what I understood it is.)

Here's a link for more info:

We'll see :)

EDIT: now that I have read more about it ... I think the problem is not very interesting for me anyway, because you can always use other sleep states than C6/C7. The power usage difference shouldn't be too much, I think. Again: we'll see :)

Streacom chassis fully compatible wit Haswell CPUs. Streacom NanoPSU products are compatible with the Haswell low power state feature as well.
Here's the link
