Hello!

I've successfully installed 10.11 and it's working pretty well. I've got everything working -- mostly. Right now I just need sound and power management sorted out. Here are my specs:

Computer: Asus n551jk
CPU: Intel Haswell Core i7-4710HQ
Chipset: Intel HM86
Video: integrated Intel 4600 HD (disabled: Nvidia 850M 2GB DDR3 graphics)
Ram: 16gb DDR3
Audio: Unknown, as of yet. I THINK it's related to: 892? (0x1043177D)? I've been unable to determine the exact chipset. Even on windows it's always described as "realtek high definition audio"

I've followed the guides to install the relative kexts and such for the battery and power management, but the battery indicator does not seem to really be picking anything up.

I can't get sound working either. I've installed a few different kexts relative to what I think my sound chipset is, but it's not working.

I'm also unsure as of yet as to how to get sleeping to work properly. It mostly does not work right now.

I've attached a few files, let me know if there's anything else I need to provide to create a proper environment for support.

I have not done any patching of DSDT yet, I ran the compile and it came back with a number of errors. :/ lol

Thank you so much!

Just to confirm, are you linking that because I'm missing some important bit of information, or to make sure that I've gone through each relevant bits of content, i.e., the audio section.

I want to make sure I'm posting correctly, I apologize if I'm not.

battery status, power management, audio, and ACPI patching are all covered in the FAQ and related sticky threads: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/

Hi you'll need an ALC892 solution for your audio, not sure if I can post links but here you are anywho.

https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALCInjection

It contains an ALC892 solution for clover I believe. Power management will involve some DSDT work but its fairly simple.

Desktop ALC892 may not be appropriate for a laptop...

The FAQ has more information/links regarding audio (for laptops).

Thanks! I've got it working, however, through voodoohda. It's working perfectly. I'm still working on fully understanding DSDT patching before I continue on to the power management.
