Hi,
first of all i would like to thank you for the guide and tools provided.
I followed the guide and i managed to boot into el capitan.
in the post installation tool i did not execute the customac essential as the network was already functioning. I tried one time to run clover configurator, but after that i had a kernel paninc, so i started from scratch and i haven't run it.
The problem i'm facing now is with audio. my ALC892 is not recognized, so i run the audio_cloverALC script.
It asked me if i wanted to enabled ALC892 and i replied yes
It asked me if i wanted to enabled my HD4600 audio and i replied no
It asked me 2 more question (now i try again and the edit the post)
after the process i try to reboot and my hackintosh do not boot anymore.
I see the apple logo, and no kernel panic or any other signal.

What can i check ? is there anything that i can do before reinstalling everything from scratch ?
May i delete any kext in order to try again ?

many thanks in advance for you support

My mobo is ASUS P8Z68V PRO / GEN3.
Clover is installed in legacy mode

I had the same issue. I was able to boot back up using the UniBeast El Capitan usb stick though. Now I'm replacing all the files in the /EFI/Clover folder on my Mac HD's EFI partition with those in the same place on the USB to start my Clover config from scratch again. Something in the audio script seems to break the boot up process.

Hi,
I tried to boot from USB and i managed.
This is the output of the script :

Password:
EFI partition is not mounted
Confirm Clover Legacy Install (y/n): y

System Integrity Protection status: enabled (Custom Configuration).

Configuration:

This is an unsupported configuration, likely to break in the future and leave your machine in an unknown state.

The first part of the script says your EFI partition isn't mounted. Did you mount it first using EFI Mounter v3? Or are you really using Clover in legacy mode?

Hi,
I confirm i'm using it in legacy mode.
When I run Unibeast i choose legacy mode as bios is setup in legacy mode, as i have another boot manager that do not support UEFI.

Fabrizio

I believe the script essentially does three things:
1. copies CLOVER/config.plist to config-backup.plist and writes an updated config.plist
2. Puts a new Realtek kext into CLOVER/kexts/...
3. Updates /S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext with some new information

So if you can't boot after running the script, I would boot in verbose mode and see if you're getting some particular error and troubleshoot that.

If you can't troubleshoot it, I would try first renaming config.plist and setting config-backup.plist back to config.plist Though now that I look closely at your output, it says there was a permissions problem with config-backup.plist, so I'm not sure whether the backup would have been written and whether that would have caused any other problems -- but in any case try restoring a working config.plist

If that doesn't work I would move the new Realtek kext out of CLOVER/kexts/...

Either of those last steps may cancel the effect of the script, but hopefully you can get the boot working again.

Hi,
i followed the "ammulder" post.
Now i manage to login again , and even if i run the script again with different parameters.. now i Always manage to boot, but anyway the sound card is not detected at all.

I never faced this kind of problem with Yosemite and chimera
This is the first time i use Clover :(

Maybe multibeast 8 will solve

Whether you are using Legacy or UEFI, you need to load config.plist with Clover Configurator.

That's not really correct. Clover Configurator is just a convenient UI to edit config.plist without messing up the structure. You can edit it by hand if you're careful, and copy/save/etc. by hand. So you can do everything without Clover Configurator. I'll grant you it might be more convenient to use it...

Anyway, grisu70, if you want to follow up on the audio not working, post to either No Audio Devices or No Sound in the audio forum (depending on whether you see output devices in System Configuration / Sound) -- either one has detailed Problem Reporting steps in the first post.

I think thats incorrect. Legacy doesn’t create a EFI volume partition to mount, only UEFI Mode does. For Legacy its just a folder inside HFS drive right next to Users folder, Library, Application, etc. The only way he can get pass the “EFI partition is not mounted” error, is just to load he’s Config.plist with C.C and executed the script again. And yes, it can be edit by hand with T.Wrangler or TextEdit, but it can't be mounted.
