Hey guys I upgraded my Yosemite clover system to El Capitan. Now I am getting this after the installation of El Capitan and is asking for a reboot.

Here are my specs
-gtx 560
-i7 2600
-8gb ram
-B75m plus

Here is the message
ACPI: sleep states S3 S4 S5
panic(cpu 6 caller ..... : Kernel...

I think this is a Kernel panic. I'm a newb with this hackintosh business so any help would be useful.

I have the same problem on:

-gtx 660
-i7 4770
-16gb ram

I can access the os x installer from the usb drive without any errors, but trying to launch the new installation results in the same error as described by LuoSam.

I am getting something very similar with my build. A fresh install on a test disk worked perfectly, but an upgrade from Yosemite gives me a panic.

GTX 970

Try booting with the flag "cpus=1" (w/o the quotes)

That didn't do much, I'm afraid!

I ended up wiping my disk and going fresh with a clean install, however. No issues. I assume there was some junk leftover all the way from Mavericks or Yosemite that was messing me up.

Ok, I got it to work without erasing the disk and without reinstalling anything.

First of all I removed the VoodoHDA.kext from /S/L/E.

After that, I deactivated the "Inject System ID" in the config.plist of clover and ended up booting the system with following flags: -v -x cpus=1 nv_disable=1

Hope it helps, it took me 3 days to figure it out :roll2:

I had this error also. (Reboot loop/Kernel panic after ACPI: sleep states S3 S4 S5)
I installed ElCapitan straight over my Yosemite on my first attempt. And then it would never boot looped reboot straight after ACPI message.

I installed again, and just before the Apple installer copies the files, go and erase what ever disk you plan to use so that it is fully clean. After I done this it booted first go. Obviously crap is being left on the original system disk. I was also using Chimera before, and forced to jump to Clover, although I actually love it now.

Cheers
