I am trying to update my Yosemite installation to 10.11 (I initially used unibeast but I can successfully boot with Yosemite with Clover USB). However I can't reach the installation.. It gets stuck on a white screen a with spinning wheel..

My Setup
Gigabyte z77x-d3h
EVGA 760
i5

Here is what I tried so far:

config.plist Standard (from the El Capitan installation sticky)
config.plist Nvidia (from the sticky)
tried to use both UEFI and Legacy methods
tried with OsxAptioFixDrv and it returns: Error - requested memory exceeds our allocated relocation block
tried with
OsxAptioFixDrv2 and it gives me white screen + spinning wheel

Nothing works

Booting in verbose mode gives me this (attached image). It hangs there for like 5min and then goes to the white screen with spinning wheel

Any ideas on what else I should try? I googled plus searched on the forum for almost a day now!

Update: Tried with nv_disable=1... Still no luck!

This a long shot, but... On your Clover install USB, delete all the numbered directories under EFI/CLOVER/kexts/ and put the kexts you need in Other/ instead of a numbered directory and try again.

I'm not sure if that's the specific step you need though it's my guess at this point.

I got the same problem with white screen and beach ball at one point, and I redid my Clover USB installer with these instructions and then it worked. So if it's not the numbered directory thing, you can try just creating the USB with exactly that procedure (but your own config.plist and kexts) and see if it works for you.

Thank you! I will try.. I'm currently trying to update like a real mac.. it's booting now... if this doesnt work I'll try your method!

It works!

Now I just need to find the right Kext for making the audio working!

Thank you SO much!

this helped me as well, i was stuck on auto rebooting after i tried to launch the installer, now i moved all the 10.# folders to another place and just had the folder Other with just fakesmc in it. got me to the installer a least...
