BEFORE THE BUILD
This machine was using OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 with UniBeast and MultiBeast early today. I tried installing with Clover/ Legacy, but it always failed getting to OS X installer, it loads the bootloader menu but after selecting “Install OS X El Capitan from USB” it shows the Apple logo at half a bar loading and then the monitor lost its connection (HDMI unplugged).
I installed Windows 7 to patch my BIOS with UEFIPatch, using v2.20. It patched successfully but i was getting same results with Clover. So i decided to do a fresh install with UniBeast 6 bootloader, the setup was smoother then ever.
Tools:
- Multibeast 7.5.0
- IO80211Family kext
- Kext Utility
- Ethernet Cable
- Audio_realtekALC-110.command.zip
- Clover Configurator
- El Capitan Post - Install Tools
- OS X El Capitan from Mac App Store
- Unibeast
- And a cup of coffee…

- Click Output tab and select Internal Speakers.
WiFi:
At this point, before fixing the TL-WN881ND, be sure to log into your iCloud and App Store account first with Ethernet. For some reason, connecting with WiFi before LAN it will mess-up the en0.
Note: Place Kext Utility and IO80211Family.kext at desktop
- Plug Ethernet cable- Log into iCloud and App Store with your Apple ID account.
- Open Kext Utility
- Drag IO80211Family.kext into kext Utility window.
- Let it finish
- Quit
- Reboot
- Enable WiFi on the menu bar
NOTES
Until now, my CustoMac is running pretty stable. I haven’t install CUDA drivers, Adobe hasn’t release a compatible drivers for El Capitan yet, so I’m gonna wait for that. Remember that the GTX Series 6, in this case the 660 Ti works OOTB with no bootflags needed.
If you have a TP-LINK WDN4800, it will also work natively with no kext required. But be sure to install it after setting up Ethernet and logins.
About iMessage… oh boy iMessage!… well, it’s important to remember that this motherboard has the SId bug. It was fix using this helpful guide “How to Fix iMessage - Chapter 5”, i suggest reading all chapter before making any changes to your plist.
