Could someone please help me with a DSDT for this?

Thanks!

You need to patch the BIOS to avoid post installation issues.

Info about how to patch the BIOS > http://biosrepo.wordpress.com
Currently there is no pre-patched BIOS ROM for that motherboard, if needed request Samisnake for help.

More info about modded BIOS > http://www.tonymacx86.com/dsdt/47397-msi-asrock-foxconn-1155-patched-bios-thread.html

Flash the BIOS first and then extract the DSDT using the tool "DSDT Editor" (Windows version available).

Google to get the tool DSDT Editor tool.

First, thanks very much for your detailed reply! I followed your instructions and have patched and unlocked my BIOS. I now have a DSDT in the bin format. I've looked into automated DSDT patches, but I'm a bit wary of the process. Can I upload here for your assistance with the rest?

Thanks again!

Sure, using the DSDT editor extract the DSDT and save it as .dsl format (4th option under file menu) zip it and. Attach it.

I've attached the DSDT.dsl file as you suggested - sorry it took a bit longer to do than expected.

Also, was there something else that needed to be done in order to be able to boot from that drive? The Unibeast bootloader has been helping me boot into OSX, but I figure there's a simpler way to do it that I'm just not aware of.

Thanks again for the assistance!

Hope you know what needs to be installed from multibeast.

Thanks again for the DSDT, I'll try it out tonight. I've just been following tips that I find in various forums, but any tips you may be able to provide would be very helpful.

I actually have OSX installed and it was bootable (using unibeast anyway) - but then I tried running the 10.8.3 update - which ran and updated - but now I get a black screen after first getting to the Apple logo. And that's using -x (safe mode right?)... So I figure (at this point) the rest of my process looks like:

1) Recreate a new unibeast install using the latest Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
2) Install to mac drive on my hackintosh (windows is on a separate hdd in same machine)
3) Add the DSDT you provided to either the root of that drive or into the /Extras folder

Does that sound about right? If not, can you please advise?

Thanks again!

Do a fresh installation of OSX. Keep the DSDT.aml file on desktop and run the multibeast with the correct options checked this will install the DSDT.

Hi. New here but am interested in building my own hackintosh. I have the MB that is mentioned in this thread with an I3 CPU will i be able to use the same DSDT or will i have to customize for my system?
Cheers

Hello. I also have a MB ASRock B75M-DGS.
I understand this link (http://biosrepo.wordpress.com) used to have patched bioses for MBs like ours, but the link doesn't work anymore.
Is there any other place where we could find a patched bios for this MB?
Thank you in advance.
