hi, I have the P8Z77-V LX and I didn't get sleep working, and now there is no patch for the BIOS. I patched my own one but no tool can flash it, since the chip is specially protected from modified BIOS-files. The EZ flash tool says: security verification failed. and does not flash the bios. There is no BIOS USB flashback feature, so is it even possible getting sleep working by only setting up the dsdt?

Like I said, I tried but I can't flash it. I know why a BIOS needs to be patched and I patched my own one successfully with pmpatch. The problem is that I need a method to get sleep working without patching the BIOS.

What does the DSDT contain? I will maybe set this up if it is usefull.

Hi, I have the same board, but with the opposite problem, I have an older patched bios, but cna't update to the latest patched bios. So as I am not at all bothered about sleep, I was wondering if I upgraded my bios to the latest un-patched standard bios, do I need to do anything to my current installation to make it bootable, NullCPUPowerManegement, etc.? And also would I still be able to overclock?

I think the modification won't stick with a new bios. you will be able to overclock if you cpu is supposed to. where did you get the bios? do you get the "security verification failed" error too?

It is possible to patch and flash a bios for this board with pmpatch and FTK 0.9.5 DOS (see Coderush's guides).
My last try was bios version 1801. Sleep still ain't working though (i.e. pc goes to sleep, 5 seconds later fans go crazy, calm down, 5 seconds later they go crazy again, and so on and so forth until manual shutdown...)

Haven't tried patching the latest bios versions, I think 2403 is the most recent. Maybe I'll try it one day, but so far my sleep mode equals shutting the pc down since a reboot of my rig takes just 10 seconds.
Not the sexiest method, I know, but for my purposes it'll do.

Hi, I am flashed the bios BIOS ver 2403 but not known differences and / or improvements, maybe I do not know their assessment, as rigarda sleep still nothing happens as he says lad1dan fact lad1dan contact me to exchange opinions on the matter?
thanks
PS: sorry for the English translated, Greetings
