Hi,

I have an Gigabyte ga-p55-usb3 rev1 with BIOS Version f8 Running,
Now i Tried to install an SSD cricial m4, but there is an issue in booting since the SSD is connecet to the MB.
The pc Boots, looks for Drives an RAM, an Before the Os is starting, the pc switches Off,
After 3 seconds it Starts itsself again And this Time everything Works normaly.

After i Tried everything(unplugged all other Drives, cards; Chanced cables) i think there is ab Problem
My SSD and the MB work together, maybe because its a 6gbsata Drive,
And my MB Supports only sata3gb.

Long Story short:
The Support says Update your BIOS Version to the f10, maybe this will help.
Now i Want to ASK you if there will be a Problem for ne when i do that?
There is no Supported DSDT for this BIOS Version in tonymacx86!
And i dont think i can Write a Own one.
Will the bios Update Break my Installation?

If possible return the SSD and get a 3Gig version or a different SSD.
F10 BIOS is beta and only thing that i see in the description > Improve USB 3.0 compatibility issue.
Why taking chance when everything is working fine?

Having said that, if you want to test it out then i suggest you make sure you can flash back the BIOS to F8 easily.
If you need help with F10 BIOS DSDT editing let me know.

Hi again,

after trying everything else(including BIOS Update)
i found the missing thing, it was any of the ram modules wich was the problem,
after getting the modules out and in everthing works,
i think there was a bad contact.

thanks for help

PS: SSD ;)
