I have the MSi H61M-P23 (B3) Mobo and I'm planning to install Hackintosh for the First Time. I tried looking around the forums, but I couldn't find A DSDT that other people proved was compatible with it. I heard that the onboard Atheros AR8151 network controller needs a special KEXT, so if there's a DSDT for this mobo, that will also be included, right?

Sorry if this has already been said somewhere, but I'm still currently a n00b at hackintoshes.

Okay, Thanks.

Could you help upload the KEXT to somewhere that's NOT OSx86? (Mediafire, Rapidshare)

I can't seem to register in order to download files (the Captcha won't show up no matter what).

P.S. Does your system run well and stable under Lion?

I cooked up my own DSDT for the h61m-p31. Wasn't as hard as I expected it to be. Just extracted the raw dsdt and applied a series of patches using DSDT editor. Specs are in green in my sig. Everything works, with the exception of sleep and speedstep.

Yep. I got your PM. I'll test to see if it works later after I set everything up.

sjvintage, could you also give me a download to your DSDT (in case Goober's doesn't work).

Oh, and for reference...

CPU - Intel Core i3-2100
RAM - 8GB Kingston HyperX 1600MHz (I know the H61M-P23 doesn't support 1600, so it's currently running at 1333)
Motherboard - MSi H61M-P23(B3)
GPU - Asus ENGT430 (GT430)
HDD - 500GB WD 7200RPM
ODD - Sony Optiarc

Wait a sec Goober, that's the Installer for Windows isn't it? (Setup.exe)
Does it work on OSX?

I don't get it!

Send me your unpatched DSDT and I'll see what I can do. I obviously forgot all the patches I implemented on mine...but I should be able to figure it out.

My fully patched DSDT for the MSI H61M-P31 with the latest bios (v2.5) is here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?us2kk0y92cf29vm

Where can I get my Unpatched DSDT from?

Sorry, I am a n00b at this!

Courtesy of MacMan:

Download Ubuntu Live CD from ubuntu web site, burn and boot from CD. You'll be in Ubuntu 9.10 desktop. Default user is ubuntu and home folder is /home/ubuntu.

From top menu bar, accessories (system) launch terminal and type:

sudo cat /proc/acpi/dsdt > dsdt.aml

Now you'll have it in your home folder.

You can save it to a USB flash drive and transfer to OSX for future editing.
