Hi guys! I'm looking for a ASUS P8 Z77 - V DSDT file
any links or downloads for this?
Thanks you

I'm looking for this too. I've seen threads where people claim to have their z77 boards working but they don't mention what DSDT they used.

So I've been using the DSDT file provided in the following url

http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/61718-multibeast-asus-p8z77-v-deluxe.html

following the instructions from the link I have a mostly functional mountain lion 10.8.1 system. This is my first hackintosh and I'm basically 2 days into it so there maybe better resources but this helped me.

Heads up their are problems with the smc portions that handle sleep and I'm having a USB issue for usb based devices like iPhones, iPads, and Superdrives.

Consider me in on this request too. While it's tempting to use another file, I'm almost tempted to extract my own but I don't know how to edit it myself. If someone can help with that, we can make this happen.

I was under the impression though that others have used patched ROM files for the EFI on this board. I tried that (to supposedly bypass the need for a DSDT) but the security check failed when I tried to flash the modified file for this board. I'll keep digging.

1. if you want a dsdt (tbh the native one should be fine for you, dont know why youd want to modify it) but if you do, use the guide in my sig, and use the asus "generic p8 3xxx" patch on olarilla. itll make sense when following the guide.
2. you have to use the usb flashback feature to flash the modified rom. you cant use ezflash2, as if you do youll get a security check failure. read the manual for more info on usb flasback

Yeah thanks. I was just reading up on USB flashback and may try that out soon.

As for the DSDT, I've been around since the beginning of the Gigabyte boards and when you extracted them, they had to be "patched" to be compatible with OSX. I assume that it is similar to this "patched ROM" that I'm talking about for the BIOS.

Well that was pretty easy. The attached file is used via USB Flashback only! Once the LED on your board stops flashing, it's complete. Easy enough! My understanding is that once this is done, we don't need a DSDT to install OSX with this board.

no.
the dsdt and the modified roms have nothing to do with each other.

the dsdt section isnt touched when the roms are modified.

if the native dsdt works fine, that is to do with the the uefi and board makers' implementation, not the modded rom.
your boards native dsdt should would fine, without the need for patching.

Well I patched it anyway. So I should have native CPU and speedstepping from the looks of it with the modded ROM. To save others the hassle, I'm linking the posts below.
