Hello,

Does anyone have the GA-P55A-UD4P? If so, have you been able to get sleep working?

I am using the DSDT from Tony's Database, and following the steps at the end. When I remove NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and reboot, I get a kernel panic on AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.

Any thoughts? or a point in the right direction?

Thanks
brad

I don't have my system put together yet (also have P55A-UD4P), but do you have everything checked in energy saver?

Yes

OK, so I solved my problem.

I'm not exactly sure what I did, but I think it wasn't recognizing my DSDT and was causing all kinds of issues. I followed Tony's guide from the start again and it is now working.

Thanks

Hi,

I too have the same MB but I've got an unsupported gfx card (Sapphire ATI 5770). Was unable to get pass the initial boot sequence to get into OSX installation.

The gfx fan will spin @ high speed once I start loading from the OSX Retail Installer DVD and it just hangs there.

What gfx cards are you on?

Bernard

I have this MB and am having sleeping issues. If it goes to sleep i can't get it to wake. Also when I turn it off it will not completely shut down. I have to hold down the powr button. I haven't had time to TS issue. I'm actually thinking about doing a complete reinstall as I have had this one running and have done so many experiments with it that I'm thinking maybe I can get it working better wit fresh install. Also I have had a couple unexplained freezes and kernel panics.

A suggested video card it a Nvidia 9500 based card. It works right out of box and is cheap. Mine has only 512mb but has DVI, VGA and HDMI. I have run 2 monitors on it with no issues. It cost $39 after $20 rebate.

This is a DSDT for P55A-UD4P with sleep working

By the way:
anyone with this board have his audio working without VoodooHDA?

I feel like I've tried everything to get audio working outside of VoodooHDA Winston. The Voodoohda works fine other than the volume on my stereo needing to be a bit higher than it was with a realtek/DSDT solution on my G31M-ES2L setup. I hope that made sense lol.

Wonder if the P55A-UD4P on the DSDT Database has the properly updated bios. Can you confirm that your DSDT was extracted from the latest bios? If it's working better, I'll use this one for the DSDT Database. Thnx.
