Just saw that the good folks at Evosx86 have released DSDTSE for Windows! Should be a lot easier now to get DSDTs. I'd try that if I were you. ;)

Read the installation guides on my blog to get a feel, then follow this guide:

Post your computer's specs in your signature- it will get you specific help for your parts.

Despite them saying it only works with XP, you can still extract the DSDT under other versions of Windows, but you can't edit or compile it.

If you use the newest Boot CDs, they don't have DSDTs. You'll be fine without one until you try to enable sleep, etc... EasyBeast doesn't give you a DSDT either- it is possible to have a fully working system without DSDT, but there are some caveats 32-bit mode only (because of AppleRTC) and no sleep, and no native speedstep, etc...

But you can enable
Audio with VoodooHDA
Network with kexts
Graphics with GraphicsEnabler, kexts, or efi string

All without DSDT. Try this boot cd:
