Hi all,
Since this mobo is Rev 1.0, do I need to flash the BIOS to 2.0 to use F2 from the DSDT Database, or can I use F2 on Rev 1.0 as is?
Thanks!

The motherboard revision (in this case either 1.0 or 1.3) cannot be changed. Normally, motherboard manufacturers will make minor changes to the motherboard between revisions, but usually the components will remain the same.

In regards to the motherboard BIOS, it appears that the latest version in the DSDT database for your particular motherboard is F4. Due to this, I would upgrade your BIOS to F4 and then use the corresponding DSDT. However, if your BIOS is already F2 and you do not wish to upgrade, simply use the F2 DSDT.

Thanks Domokun,
My BIOS is set at F1.
Today I received a CustomBeast for my setup & noticed the DSDT for the install was set at F5.
I installed the CustomBeast onto the existing F1 Bios & so far everything works. Audio, Ethernet, and DVD Player are all functioning, and my Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 6870 gfx card shows up correctly in System Profiler.

This is great & hats off to the CustomBeast Project!!!!!

Just making sure that I don't need to update the BIOS to F5 as long as everything seems to be working.

If I need to update the BIOS, do I need to re-install the system software?

No. All the drivers remain the same.
