Hey everyone,

I'm running a customac with these specs:

Intel i7-970
ATI Radeon 6870
12 gb Kingston1600 DDR3 RAM

basically I'm a bit confused with the DSDT database here at Tonymac. When I select my motherboard, not only do I find two different versions (I'm guessing these are BIOS software revisions?), but there are also a great deal of different sub-categories to choose from. Things like FC FB FH... that kind of deal.

All I want to do is get a DSDT that will install through multibeast, NOT screw anything up too hard, and allow my computer to go to sleep without giving me a big fat black screen.

How do I find exactly what type of BIOS I'm running? And how do I get Black Betty to sleep when I tell her to?

If it helps any, I installed using the GA-X58A-UD5-2.0-FC.aml DSDT back in August when I built this thing. Sadly, I have no idea why I chose that one.

Also, I'm using graphicsEnabler=no, as it wreaked havoc with my GPU

Any help is much much much appreciated.

You go into the Bios to see what version you are running are catch it at the Bios splash screen.

From there if it is say "FG" then you get the "FG" DSDT version matching the bios. Put it on your desktop and run Multibeast with the User DSDT checked off along with you other choices you need.

It#s running iMac 12.2. Now I tried MacPro 3.1, with this it don't runs anymore

Thanks for the reply!

But yeah, I've been toying around with multiple DSDT types. I've checked my BIOS and can't seem to find it. I'll keep looking later today when I'm near the computer.

And yeah, I've been using User DSDT through multibeast 3.9... Might there be any options in multibeast that have to do with enabling sleep?

Also, might this be a graphics-related issue? This bad boy just refuses to wake up. I mean, my keyboard wakes up the tower but the screens remain blank.

I have some more info for anyone if it helps...

Whenever I put the computer to sleep mode, a file in my invisible private file fills up the rest of my hard disk every time.

(boot disk)>private>var>vm>sleepimage

Every time it goes to sleep, that sleepimage file is written and it fills up approximately 95% of my remaining hard disk. Of course, it's on an SSD so that's only about 12GB.

Anyone ever run into this kind of issue?
