Good morning,

I built this mackintosh a few years back following Lifehacker's great post. It has become a bit sluggish as of late (fragmentation probably) and I want to rebuild it to get some zippiness back. This time around I am looking to use tonymac's resources, however I cannot seem to find a DSDT for my motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P)

the only ones available are

GA-EP45-DS3R
GA-EP45-DS4
GA-EP45-UD3L
GA-EP45-UD3LR
GA-EP45-UD3R
GA-EP45T-UD3LR

My question is, can I use any of these for my build? Or do I need to modify them somehow? Let me know.

Here is the complete build in case it matters.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad 3.0GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor
GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16
Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory x 2 (for a total of 8GB)
Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EADS 1TB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Pioneer CD/DVD Burner Black SATA Model
10/ 100/ 1000/ 2000Mbps PCI Copper Gigabit Network Adapter

Thanks a lot.

Bump--I have exactly the same question--anyone have a DSDT for this board that works for Lion?

follow the guide on how to make your own dsdt
your board is available.

Well, that was unsatisfying! I tried it and couldn't compile a DSDT that didn't have lots of errors. Am I being ridiculous to think that SOMEONE out there has a working DSDT file for this board? Just a year or two ago it was one of the hackintosh standards.

I have the same LifeHacker (Snow Leopard) system..
and I too, am looking for a DSDT for it.
My goal is to perform a clean Lion install.

Well, I know very little about hackitoshed and I have been pretty good at fixing and taking care of the machine for a while. However I do not have enough know how to create that dsdt.

Would anyone please be so kind as to help us create one that is proper. I too built the lifehacker build and I would love to bring this machine into a new era as it has performed flawlessly for a long time. Someone please help.

If you cant follow that guide, try to find the old version of the DSDT Autopatcher. Those boards are listed in there it looks like.

Or possibly check out insanelymac, there is a thread there you can post your unmodified file and Mal0don will likely patch it.

Hes been out a few weeks though, said hes been busy

Hey Samisnake,

Thanks for the link. I followed your guide up until step 7, however at that stage I get 7 errors regardless of how many times I press the fix button.

Any other ideas how to go about it? I too am surprised that there is no dsdt as it was one of the most popular hacks. Anyway, as usual any help is welcome and appreciated. If anyone knows where to find a working dsdt for that board or would be kind enough to share it it would be great.

Best

Ludovic

I,m not super knowledgable about hackintosh's but have had the ds3l and the ud3p of stell's. I have been using the dsdt from the v3 package. It's probably still available on his blog. Just open the package and remove the dsdt file. I still have the original bios

Thanks for the piece of advice. Do you have Lion running using this dsdt? Has anyone tried this yet? I would lve to find out. I downloaded the version 3 and found the dsdt. What would the next steps be?

Thanks

Ludovic
