Sleep and cpu power managment don´t work among other things.

(Now i´m on Lion, but i use to have the same problems in Snow leopard)

Thank you!

I have sleep issues as well now with OS X Lion where my system won't sleep on energy saving settings so you're not the only one, even with a DSDT.

According to this thread you will never have properly working C-states if you are using a manually set Vcore voltage with Rampage III Extreme and some Rampage III Formula users have also said their bios lacks offset voltage setting : http://www.asusrog.com/forums/showthrea ... nual-Vcore

Thank you very much beelzebozo and mmaenpaa for your answers.

So, with this information, to avoid random kernel panics i should:

-disable sleep.
-Remove "enable C and P states" from com.apple.Boot.plist
-install nullcpupowermanagment kext.

Is this correct?

I believe that C-states do work if you run at stock speed, with overclock and a manually set set Vcore C-states cannot lower Vcore when cpu is idling but speedstepping should still work. I'd still use P - and C - states options, your cpu will just be idling with couple degrees higher core temperatures because only multiplier goes down.

Just wondering if anyone has the proper DSDT for ASUS Rampage III Extreme (1501 BIOS). Curently I'm using some DSDT I've found online, but sleep is not workin' in ML, even in Lion. Could someone help? Thanks!

Same here!

Anyone solved problem on RIIIExtreme and sleep?

last time I was tryin' to get sleep working I thought that I almost killed my board. I've tried some kexts to get sleep working, but somehow it has messed up my BIOS. The board was completely dead. I coudn't even turn it on... even the bios reset didn't helped (with a jumper and also with a button) I had to remove the battery and wait for a while and then the board was working (thank god!)... since then I'm done with sleep on Rampage III Extreme. I'm not using it anyway...

Any solution for the sleep problem? I have everything working perfectly except that damn sleep! I was using it very often on my last c2d build, but now it isn't working.
