Hi, I can't charge my iPad (3rd generation) through an USB 3.0 port. It only charges through an USB 2.0 port but I have only two of them and are already occupied by keyboard and mouse... I tried creating my custom DSDT using MaciASL. I have extracted my OEM DSDT by pressing F4 key at Clover GUI, then I have (mounted EFI partition) and open /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/origin/DSDT.aml with MaciASL. I select ACPI 5.0 and add Z87X-OC All In One patch from PJALM repo, then Compile without errors, just remarks and saved as DSDT.aml. Since I use Clover UEFI, I have copied the file in /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched, then reboot... But it doesn't work, iPad says "Not Charging". I post my original DSDT (extracted from Clover GUI with F4 key) and the modified one.

Hardware:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC Rev 1.1. BIOS version: F8
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K 3.50GHz 64 bit (I have disabled the onboard Intel HD Graphics 4600 to be able to dual boot with Windows in UEFI through Clover)
GPU: Asus Geforce GTX 660 2GB GDDR5
RAM: 8 GB 1600MHz DDR3 Crucial Ballistix
PSU: Cooler Master B700
Monitor: Asus VX229H IPS 21,5"
Storage: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120 GB (main drive where I have installed Clover UEFI), HDD Seagate 3 TB
Mouse: Logitech Corded Mouse M500 USB
Keyboard: Apple Extended Keyboard USB (US Layout)
Webcam: Logitech C525
External Microphone: SONIA SN-6000
Headphones: Sony MDR-ZX660AP

Thanks in advance!

I don't have an iPad to check, but my iPhone charges fine through the USB 3.0 ports.

Check your BIOS for the following settings:
- XHCI Mode -> Smart Auto or Auto
- XHCI Hand-off -> Enabled
- EHCI Hand-off -> Enabled

Check your system for the GenericUSBXHCI.kext and delete it.
- MutiBeast: installed in /System/Library/Extensions/
- Clover: installed in EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10 or EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

Gigabyte Spec says you should have more than two USB2 ports :

"Chipset:
Up to 2 USB 3.0/2.0 ports (available through the internal USB header)
Up to 8 USB 2.0/1.1 ports (2 ports on the back panel, 2 ports onboard, 4 ports available through the internal USB headers)
Chipset + 2 Renesas® uPD720210 USB 3.0 Hubs:
Up to 8 USB 3.0/2.0 ports (6 ports on the back panel, 2 ports available through the internal USB header)"

Are you using USB / HighCurrent in your config.plist?

Not needed as this is taken care of by the Z87X-OC All In One patch from PJALM's repo.

Thank you guys for the answers!
@ BreBo, I don't have GenericUSBXHCI.kext either in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10 either in /System/Library/Extensions.
@ n3oNLit3, I have already selected HighCurrent, in Devices>USB in /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist. It doesn't work anyway.
@ P1LGRIM I already know the specs of the Gigabyte Z87X-OC, but my case has only two USB 3.0 header port. So i have only 4 USB 2.0 ports, two internal in the case, two external outside the case. I want to enable the charge with an USB 3.0 port.

Perhaps the easiest solution is to just use a USB2 hub/adaptor on one USB2 port for your keyboard and mouse leaving the other free to charge your phone.

Yes, it perhaps would be an easy solution. But I wanted to know which was the real problem.. If it's a problem of the DSDT, or an incorrect setting in the BIOS, or something else.

What if you connect the cases USB 3.0 ports to the motherboard F_USB30_1 header that supports the ON/OFF Charge2 function?

Hey, thanks BreBo, I have already connected the F_USB30_1 header, but my iPad doesn't charge through that USB port...
