Hi, for my build I'm planning to get a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC motherboard, but there are no DSDTs for Socket 1150 motherboards in the database. As this is my first build, I'd rather not risk making my own if it isn't necessary. I also noticed tonymacx86 has a GA-Z87X-UD7-TH (almost the same as my board) listed on his profile, which gives me the impression that there's probably a DSDT floating around out there for my board already.

Quite simply, no.

Socket 1150 boards do not require a DSDT for normal setup and running. The exception is if you want to use HDMI audio.

You should start by installing your system without a DSDT and get it fully up and running, because without a working system a DSDT would be no help to you anyway.

Once you are up and running, a DSDT is very easy to create and patch assuming you want HDMI audio.
