I plan to attempt my first Hackintosh, but first, I'm doing a lot of reading to make sure I understand what problems I might run into. My question right now is about DSDT (hence the location of this post).
It seems from reading around that if your motherboard has UEFI then you don't need DSDT anymore. Is this inherently true? Or do some UEFI mobos still need the DSDT?
To be honest, I'm hoping it is true because I had not originally intended on creating a Hackintosh when I built my machine, but I'm seeing a lot of comparable parts. I'm hoping that I won't need DSDT because I am running an ASRock Z87 Extreme 4 and still haven't found a DSDT for it.
