DSDTSE crashes

I have been using my setup for quite a while now, but without the sleep function, without the speed-step, and without the support for eSATA connector (which is on a different SATA controller). While I don't miss the eSATA functionality, I would like to use the sleep functionality, and the speed-step.

I have downloaded the latest DSDT for my motherboard, but I don't know what it all has configured in it (I don't know if it's just a generic AML, or tweaked for my motherboard). I would like to take a look at the AML file. However, whenever I try to launch the DSDTSE, it crashes when I try to open an AML file with a Nil exception. I am trying to run the DSDTSE on a MacBook Pro with the latest Snow Leopard.

Does anyone else have this problem?
How do I run the DSDTSE to look at/edit an AML file?

I have tried searching this forum for the information, but the search engines generally hate me, and I didn't see anything on the topic.

I had a similar issue with DSDTSE crashing. My issue appears to have been caused by the hard drive (partitions) being case-sensitive. I have since reformatted, this time without case-sensitive selected and DSDTSE is working as expected.

If you too have case-sensitive selected but don't wish to reinstall the OS, you might be able to just format a partition without case-sensitive and run DSDTSE from there.

Thanks so much, I just moved DSDTSE to a different drive and ran it from there and now can bypass it crashing with the null exception. You're a star !!!!
