I'm new to this Hackingtosh thing but I'm trying to follow a tutorial on Lifehacker.com. They said I could find a DSDT file for my motherboard here but there's no one for this particular motherboard and noone for a socket 1150 though it's a recommended board on this site. (tonymacx86).

Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

I also want a dsdt for my
GA-Z87X-OC

You don't need a DSDT for the Z87X-OC.

That's False !

You have to be more precise.
Z87x-OC can live without DSDT that's a fact but some stuff need to be fixed in order to have a 100% working and free of error (boot.log) machine.

There are fix that need to be done
For instance:
High Current modification ( Patch of the the Intel USB3 on Intel 8 Series chipsets to allow more power output. or you will stick with a error saying no enough power)
DTGP method and some intel Intel 8 Series Fixes and Gigabyte Haswell Fix... to clear some problem

Toleda is a master in DSDT modification that's a nice advice...

First place to start.
Download MACiASL, add PJALM GiGabyte repository Patch to your MacIASL
Boot your system without DSDT
Extract DSDT using ACPI 4.0 (ACPI 5.0 having some problem to extract some stuff)
Patch your DSDT with the Z87x-OC from PJALM repository

Add Toleda Repo also (he has made a fabulous Intel8 Series Clean Compile as well as Must have Sound Fix)
and patch also your DSDT but be aware Clean Compile is easy to use but Sound Fix need more skills...

Cheers

Glad I found this thread. I was constantly told that I did not need DSDT for this board. I went ahead and followed instructions and no more USB low power warnings at boot (that's a good sign I didn't screw it up :) ) Although, I didn't see OC-Force so I just used OC. I expect that to come bite me in ass later.

I could not get audio_ALCInjection fixes to compile, so I skipped those and just used PJALM's gigabyte DSDT and "Toleda HDMI" > "UEFI Clean Complile" and Toleda HDMI" > "Desktop-AMD/Nvidia-A1"

I'm sure those 3 is better than none. I'm at wits end in audio kernel panics and deadlocks so I'm in experimental phases now.

What BIOS version are you all running? I am using the native DSDT from the F6 BIOS. I can charge my iPhone 5 and my HDD's work fine with USB3 to Sata without any issues. Just a thought.

Check the repo of Toleda there is new SSDT that you can Add to get HDMI audio activated. Easier to install
You need to follow his thread also in this forum.

Regarding Z87x-OC Force maybe you have to ask PJALM about it in this forum also.

I have Bios F6 and I can charge my Iphone, However I have one of my CORSAIR USB3 Stick which need more Power and thus needs the fix in DSDT...
There are also some trouble with USB 3 Device which are not recognize and I used Patch in fly from Clover to fix...
This Board definitely needs some tweak here and there...

I guess I have been lucky with my devices. Although I use mostly Network assisted. Yep HDMI audio works perfectly with the SSDT and patches. Enabled discrete and onboard using it.
