Hi from france.

First sorry for my english...
I build a hackintosh with:

Z97X-UD3H
i7 4790K
Crucial 16Go Ballistix Sport XT
Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti OC
Phillips TV 4K 43 "

I want only Mavericks 10.9.5. (for audio).
So install OK with Unibeast, Multibeast,etc...

Except with the video card... only boot with nv_disable=1

So after reading all the forum about that, it seems that this card (maxwell chips) with mavericks is NOT compatible...

So please, which actual nvidia (or other brand) video card is native for this configuration ?? ( with no maxwell chips ).
For a small budget.

It's not for gaming, only for a good resolution in audio DAW (1080p mini)

I thought using HD4600 with HDMI but i have the message :Memory allocation error, addr: 0xdeadbeef, size: 0x0 at gui.c line with my 4K Tv. It works ok with a non 4K HD TV ( hdmi ).

So it's an obligation for me to use a video card... so which one, for a cool budget, will work natively with 10.9.5.

Thank you for your help, no sleep for three nights now...

Someone told me about GTX 760, but too expansive (330 euros)...
Any idea ?

Maxwell cards work in OS X (including Mavericks) with the proper drivers installed. You need to download the Nvidia alternative drivers from their website. Here's the link:

Hello .

Thank you for your help.
I've downloaded these drivers, installed them ( with 10.9.5 13F1603 ).
But no way, did it 3 times from the beginning ( format, unibeast, multi beast, drivers nvidia... ).
Always the grey circle stop to turn after 25 s and system is freezed.

flag -x -nv_disable=1 and it goes, but in 1024x768 verry laggy.

I put graphics mode=1980x1024x32, with osX drivers ( with nvidia driver, always stop spinning at the end of boot), and i've some "color snow" on the screen...

I think I will buy a GTX 760 kepler...

Any idea to check ??

Thank you for helping

Did you add the boot flag "nvda_drv=1"? This is required with the Nvidia alternate drivers to enable them. Normally the driver installation adds this flag automatically, but sometimes that doesn't happen and you have to add it manually. If it works by entering that flag at the Clover boot prompt, you can add it permanently to your config.plist.

Yes, sure I did add the nvda_drv=1 line.
But no way...

It's not a clover boot prompt, but chimera.
Do i have to try with clover ?
Is clover ok for 10.9.5 ?

Sorry if I ask some dub things, I try to go forward in this configuration...

If you install Yosemite on your system the 750 Ti will work with no problems.. Can you upgrade
to Yosemite and try it ? Eventually your audio software should have support for Yosemite. If not
get some newer software that does.
