Hello

I was a mac user for many years and now bought a PC system because I need performance, where the current apple models are far behind. CPU, GPU and RAM are all not on contemporary standard, yet asking premium price. Of course the Mac OS is really good, as is their build qualitiy.

To be future proof(at least a bit) I bought the latest generation HW i6700k on MSI z170 pro gamer and the MSI GTX 970, 480GB Savage SSD.
I know this is not an existing apple configuration(reason I went for this setup see above). The 970 should have a driver from nvidia afak. How about mainboard and CPU? Any chance to get the running with good(at least not slower then actual macs) performance?

best regards

SkyLake and 100 series boards are not yet supported by OS X, and AFAIK, no one has OS X currently running on this setup.

To my knowledge, it is just supported natively today. Check out Apple's iMac update.

This was posted prior to that. I don't have ESP. I stay on top of Apple stuff, I am aware of today's release.

sounds fair.. So what would you say now.

Does it mean 10.11.1 already supports skylake?

yes now they finally bring a new imac model when I just bought the pc... anyway they still use a mobile version graphics board and the old memory.

I read the skylake hack from the link above :) does not seem to be a production option.

Looking forward on new about supported hardware with el capitan then :)
