Title says it all really, wanting to install El Capitan on my desktop as I really like it on my MBP Retina, I have an SSD (64GB) with Windows on it already and a 1TB HDD with all my programs and documents on it, so is there anyway I can get access to these documents on both OS's without any issues? Then install my mac programs on the 1TB HDD as well as install my OS on my SSD.

No mate,If you wnat to dualboot u first need to format the hard drive on a Mac format Mac OS X Journaled, then to format the second partition on DOS format (windows) and yeah ,if u make it to dualboot and to run both system, there will be still a problem with your files, coz u cant use the files on the mac partition on with windows running and reverse,so u need to duplicate the files on mac and windows,i think thats too much for ya :D

If you format storage hdd to exfat you can use it from os x and windows.:banghead:

Ex Fat is best suited to small USB drives - do not use it with OS X as it is a closed Microsoft system that is buggy with other operating systems because Microsoft have not shared the technical details. In OS X - It is prone to corruption, preventing booting and data loss. It is also limited to a 4GB file size which is becoming more of an issue these days. Do some further research. As a starting point read this thread:

You can probably find out more or ask about shared data methods between different operating systems in this part of the forum:
