Hi guys,

I am able to install Mavericks and get into the operating system with GraphicsEnabler=Yes and -x bootflags. Obviously this is not ideal. However I am getting full resolution. Just no QE/CI or OpenCL.

System info reports the chipset as unknown and only 1024GB but does identify it as NVIDIA.

Any ideas on how to get this card to work in 10.9.5? Should I give the NVIDIA web drivers a go?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers :)

No QE/CI or OpenCL is because you are in Safe Mode (-x).

GraphicsEnabler=No would be more appropriate for the GT610.

Have you disabled Integrated Graphics in your BIOS ?

I have disabled integrated graphics.

Thanks for the reply however it's not a 610 it's a GT 730 2GB DDR3. GraphicsEnabler=No causes the screen to go blank after the grey apple boot screen. The ONLY way currently to boot into the OS is with GraphicsEnabler=Yes and -x (safe mode).

I have read further posts of others reporting PARTIAL success with the NVIDIA web drivers for 10.9.5 but apparently there's no CUDA support and OpenCL apps crash such as photo preview and Outlook, etc.

I am getting full resolution in safe mode, however, but incorrect device values in system information and no acceleration. I will be trying the NVIDIA web drivers tonight to see if that makes a difference.

Cheers :)

GraphicsEnabler=No is good for the GT730 too.

How are you connected to your monitor ?

I am connected via DVI.

It stops at IOBluetoothHCIController. I have seen this before and I know it's a GPU issue.

Hopefully the web drivers will solve your problems.

Good Luck

Thanks. Me too.

From what I've read the NVIDIA web drivers have no OpenCL support so it causes apps that use OpenCL calls to crash. This might be a problem because I know Adobe Premiere uses it and this machine will have it installed eventually. However I found another thread where MacAndor posted a tutorial on how to disable OpenCL calls for these apps. It doesn't fix the problem but merely sidesteps it:

If non of this works I will advise the guy who I'm building this Hack for to just get an GT 740, which is fully supported.

Cheers :)
