[CONFIRMED] Gigabyte GA-H81N - Yosemite Compatible!

Just wondering if the GA-H81N is supported under Yosemite? It's way cheaper than the x7 boards and still retains mPCIe. Thanks.

I would like to buy this mobo too (way cheaper than a H87) so if anyone made it work in OSX Yosemite please let us know.

Edit : I have seen 2-3 buils that did work with Mavericks, so if it work with maverick it should work with yosemite right?

Please use the search function. You will find that several have installed on this motherboard so your risk is much lower.

Good modding,
neil

I couldn't find much via the search. Only people asking about it.

Thanks for letting me know though. Building tomorrow!

Please let me know if you face any problem / boot flag you may use. Thanks in advance :)

Installed Yosemite today. No real issues as of yet aside from the fact it really doesn't like going in to/waking up from sleep. Still looking for a solution.

When booting in to the installer first time round it KP'd, so I played it safe and went with -x -v npci=0x200 boot flags. It booted in to the installer and ran through perfectly then.

After the install it booted into Yosemite without any boot flags, pretty much everything worked OOB aside from the audio AFAIK. Going through Multibeast I picked DSDT free, and just selected the audio driver. Everything else I left as default.

The ALC887 driver in the latest version of Multibeast didn't want to work, so I installed Multibeast 6.1.0 and installed the audio that way, and now audio is working fine.

Thank you so much for your feedback. Will probably build next week!
